WNY DASA TRAINING

New York State’s Dignity for All Students Act (The Dignity Act) seeks to provide the State’s public elementary and secondary school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function.

Effective December 31, 2013 all applicants for Certification are required to complete six clock hours of coursework or training in accordance with Article 2 Sections 10-18 of the Education Law.


Upon completion of the workshop, you will receive a Certification of Completion.

  • Send a copy of the Certificate of Completion to the Office of Teaching Initiatives, RM 5N 89 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12234. Photocopies are acceptable.

  • In the case of persons completing State registered programs leading to Certification after December 31, 2013, no Certification of Completion will be awarded because the training is a required component of the programs. No additional training is required.
